Instructions

Qualifying (Trials): Highest total Pinfall for three blocks of four games each. Multiple re-entries are permitted, with no limit (subject to lane availability) At the completion of the Trials, the field will be cut to.

Women: Top 14 + 2 locals.

Men: Top 32 + 4 locals.
Final Round: Block of 12 Games, Starting From scratch.

Round Robin Finals: 2nd round from scratch.

Women: Top 7 + 1 Local.

Men: Top 15 + 1 Local

Bowlers will play 1 game match against each other finalist in their respective divisions plus a position round. Scoring system will be total Pinfall Plus 10 for win and 5 for tie.. Zero for loss. Including the position round Starting from scratch.

Stepladder and Final: Top 4 Ladies and top 4 Men will advance to Step Ladder Finals - 1 game match 4 vs. 3… winners vs. 2 Championship Match Winner vs. 1

Organized & Managed by: Egyptian Bowling Federation .
Sanctioned as a Ranking Championship by FIQ – W.T.B.A, Asian Bowling Federation Ranking points will be awarded.

Rules & Regulations:

1.All EBF & FIQ – W.T.B.A. playing rules & regulations will be applied.

2.Open to bowlers in good standing, of EBF & all members of organizations/countries affiliated with FIQ – W.T.B.A.

3.Sanctioned by W.T.B.A & ABF as a Ranking Tournament – Asian Ranking points will be awarded.

4.All entries must be submitted with relevant fees. There are no refunds.

5.Lane changes: During trials bowlers shift 2 lanes to right after each 2 games.
Finals Stage 1 & 2
Bowlers shift after each game.
Even numbers shift 2 lanes right.
Odd numbers shift 2 lanes Left.

6. Protests:
Scores: Must be submitted as soon as possible & prior to beginning of next stage.
A submission fee of L.E. 50 must be accompanied with protest & such fee may be refunded if the protest is accepted in form & objective.

Foul: Must notify lane Marshal Before delivery of next ball.

7.Slow Bowling:

Players must be ready to bowl at due turn & should not delay stepping into the approach in preparation to bowl, if the lane immediately adjacent to them on the left & right side is clear.

A penalty shall be imposed on a bowler who is "4" frames behind the leader

(Exceptions; delays caused by machine breakdown.. etc.)

8.Tie Break:

Should a tie occur for the final qualifying position at the completion of Qualifying trials -

A one game roll-off between all tied bowlers.

Finals Stage 1:

Determined by difference between highest & lowest game in finals stage 1.

Winner will be the bowler with least difference.

Finals Stage 2:

Same format as finals stage 1.

Round Robin Finals:

Time permitting a tiebreak game shall be bowled between the tied players.

Highest total pinfall will decide the winner.

Alternatively, the same format as used in stage 1 & 2 will be applied.

Step-ladder finals: 9th & 10th frame roll off.

9. Bowling Balls:

It is the responsibility of each bowler to ensure that all bowling balls used in the tournament are certified a legal ball for weight, balance & comply with all regulations as specified by W.T.B.A. Any bowler found using an illegal ball will be subjected to disqualification & Forfeit of any awards, prizes & ranking.

10. Check – In: Bowlers are required to check-in 30 mints.

Prior to each event.

11. Fees: Qualifying (Trials) fees should be paid 24 hrs. in advance.

12. Phones: Mobile phones should be switched off they are strictly forbidden in the playing area.

13. I.D. : Player ID cards must be carried at all times.

14. Special Notes: Bowlers are entitled & restricted to 2 trials) per day.

Requests for additional squads (trials) will be granted subject To lane availability.

Bowlers are expected to dress & act in a manner to uplift & uphold the image of the sport of bowling, especially on camera.

Any matters arising & not covered in these tournament rules shall Be decided by the tournament committee or the technical Committee of the Egyptian Bowling Federation, whose decision Shall be final.
